crypto dev activity — week ending 2026-06-14
alpha micro-digest
dune spellbook went from 13 to 26 commits this week. double the usual pace. data pipelines getting a lot of love, probably prepping for some new dashboards or integrations.
eigenlayer contracts popped from zero to one commit. tiny absolute number but a 100% delta when your baseline is flat silence. someone remembered the repo exists.
starkware cairo-lang also up 33%. one commit vs a 0.8 average. not exactly a sprint, but at least the compiler isn't abandoned.
zksync era dropped 84%. one commit this week against a 6.2 average. the lull after a mainnet push, or attention shifting elsewhere.
solana and uniswap v4 both flat at zero. no movement, no drama. just quiet.
the real story is the silence. ethereum go-ethereum: zero commits, 4wk avg 30.5. bitcoin: zero commits, 4wk avg 54. polkadot-sdk: zero commits, 4wk avg 42.5. three of the biggest names in crypto, all completely dark in the same week. a scheduling coincidence or a broader pause across core protocol teams.
if go-ethereum stays silent for another two weeks, it would be the longest dry spell since the merge prep lull. worth watching. core dev silence on that scale usually means a big release is being staged internally, or priorities have shifted hard.
